If you are looking for a GREAT BBQ chicken recipe, then this recipe is IT! Sir Charles, & his wife, Queen Carmen, have been making fantastic BBQ sauces for a number of years, & I have become one of his biggest fans. I like this combination of a mild rub & a hot sauce, because the hot sauce mellows as it grills, becoming sweeter & smoky in flavor. I have used their various rubs & sauces in a variety of dishes, but the combination of a mild rub & a hotter sauce is really scrumptious! I, of course, do not use BBQ sauce with little ones…their palates are sophisticated enough even for the mildest of sauces. Check out their website by clicking here if you don’t live locally. Clean & dry the chicken. Sprinkle the rub all over the chicken breasts. Heat your grill.
Place the chicken on the hot grill, skin side down, & cook until the skin is well done...I like my skin charred.
When the chicken skin easily releases from the grate, turn over & pour Sir Charles Gourmet Hot Sauce over all the BBQ chicken breasts...I promise, you will have enough sauce!
Continue grilling the BBQ chicken until the breasts are cooked...be sure to cover the BBQ chicken to ensure doneness...I prefer checking the chicken breasts with a cooking thermometer to confirm...165˚ is the magic temperature.
Have the BBQ chicken rest for 5-10 minutes before serving with your favorite sides...this allows the juices to redistribute, which ensures you're eating the most delicious BBQ chicken ever!
